Park-Kings Lecture: "Colored Orneriness: A Concerto in Four Parts"

Dr. Emilie Townes, Dean and the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Professor of Womanist Ethics and Society, Vanderbilt University, will explore the possibilities for faith-filled responses to the public issues of contemporary society, drawing on our deepest religious insights into justice and the creation of a good society. The talk will be in the Marquand Chapel at the Yale Divinity School, 409 Prospect Street. It begins at 5:30 PM, admission is free and there will be a reception immediately afterwards.

Lecture: Change or Die: Leadership during Transition

Dr. Amy Butler, the first woman pastor of the Riverside Church in New York City, will discuss issues of vulnerability and authenticity in leadership, assessing systems in transition, leading organizations through change, casting a vision, and essentials for navigating transformational change. The talk begins at 7:30 PM, in the Marquand Chapel at the Divinity School, 409 Prospect Street. Admission is free and there will be a reception immediately afterwards.
