There is no charge for your attendance at any of the Assembly events, program sessions, meals (including the Yale Medal dinner), or the football game on Saturday afternoon. You are also welcome to bring one guest to all events. Please make your registration selections carefully to indicate the events that you and/or your guest plan to attend so we can reserve space in the sessions and at meals.
AYA Assembly LXXI, The Yale PhD: 150 Years of Leadership for Yale and the World, will take place on campus November 17-19, 2011. This year we will honor the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences as it celebrates the 150th anniversary of its first PhD — the first ever awarded in North America. General information on the AYA Assembly may be found here.
The AYA will provide shuttle transportation to and from the four hotels listed below on a limited schedule on Thursday and Friday of Assembly.
Make your reservation directly with the hotel. If you haven’t done so already, we encourage you to make your reservation now, as most downtown hotels sell out quickly on the weekend of the Yale-Harvard football game. If you cannot find a room at your desired hotel, see note below.
Assembly LXXI, held November 17–18, 2011, honored the 150th anniversary of the first Ph.D. degrees granted by Yale, which were the first granted by any university in North America.
