Alumni ServicesServices and Privileges available to AlumniFollowing is a list (by no means comprehensive) of services, privileges, and other opportunities provided by Yale which are open to alumni. They include both free and fee-based services. Career Services For information about career services including the Yale Career Network and job posting information, click here. Yale University Platinum Visa® Card The Yale University Platinum Visa® card is the only credit card program that helps support Yale - at no additional cost to you. The Yale Platinum Visa® card saves you money, offers you the superior services of Platinum, and gives back to Yale every time you make a purchase with your credit card. For more information, click here. On Campus ServicesServices for Alumni Visitors with Special Needs The AYA strives to make its alumni programs as accessible as possible to all alumni. Because individual needs vary and because we wish to respect personal preferences, AYA staff work with alumni on a case-by-case basis to identify the ways in which we can assist with those needs and accommodate them whenever and wherever possible. For more information, click here. Yale Terms for Alumni Alumni and their spouses can audit a course in Yale College. It is available only to degree-holding alumni and their spouses (no parents, e.g.) and includes library borrowing privileges during semester. If you have any questions, please contact Judith Cushingham at judith.cushingham@yale.edu. For information and application forms, click here. Library Borrowing Privileges Alumni are given access to the library stacks (without borrowing privileges) free of charge for 30 days out of the year. Borrowing privileges are available for $15 per month or $150 per year. Lectures Many campus organizations, including the residential colleges, G&P schools and departments, and student organizations, sponsor guest lectures and speakers throughout the year. Theater The Yale Drama School and the Yale Repertory Theatre have productions throughout the year, the Yale Cabaret has a special summer season, and numerous undergraduate productions take place year round. Museums Yale has four museums: the Yale University Art Gallery, Yale Center for British Art, Peabody Museum of Natural History, and the Collection of Musical Instruments(432-0822). Concerts The School of Music regularly features concerts and recitals performed by students, faculty, and guest performers. Yale also has a great number of student singing groups, the Glee Club, the Yale Symphony Orchestra, and other student bands which hold concerts open to the public. Yale venues such as Woolsey Hall and Battell Chapel are often used for concerts by non-Yale groups such as the New Haven Symphony Orchestra. Athletics facilities Gym use is available to alumni for $248 for the academic year. Exercise classes are included in these fees. All other athletics resources are available on a per fee basis and include golf, tennis, ice skating, the outdoor recreation center, sailing center, etc. Sporting events Tickets for Yale home games can be purchased individually or as a season pass. Many sporting events are free of charge, as are all intramural events. Dining Halls Alumni can dine in any of the residential colleges as well as HGS, the Law School, SOM, and Kline Biology Tower. Click here for more information. Student Publications The Yale Daily News, the Yale Herald and dozens of other student publications are available on campus. Some of the publications (particularly the two newspapers) are also available online. Other Campus Treats Physical proximity to the campus provides other socially and intellectually engaging opportunities. These include campus tours, guided Spring walks which highlight the flora of the campus, dining at Mory's (for members), listening to WYBC, the student-run radio station (94.3 on your FM dial), and an ongoing, if informal, opportunity to interact with Yale students, faculty, and staff.
