An Evening with President Levin in Houston

An Evening with President Levin in Houston
Date:
Wed, 01/16/2013 - 6:00pm

President LevinRichard C. Levin, Yale’s president since 1993, will be visiting the Yale Club of Houston on January 16th. There will be a wine/cocktail reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres, where President Levin will mingle and greet us personally, followed by his talk to update us on what’s new at Yale. In his remarks he will review the university’s progress in bouncing back from the financial crisis of 2008, forward movement on plans for Yale’s two new residential colleges, thoughts about Yale’s first new president in 20 years, and his plans for retirement. After his talk he will be delighted to take questions from the audience.

Our venue for President Levin’s first visit to Houston in a decade will be the fabulous new Asia Society Texas Center, designed by the noted Japanese architect Yoshio Taniguchi, which Architectural Record describes as “sumptuous” and “elegantly restrained.”
