AYA Home --> Leadership Directory-> AYA Structure Leadership DirectoryAYA StructureCommittee work and special alumni meetings are crucial to the effectiveness of the AYA. Alumni and University concerns are reflected in the subjects adopted for discussion and study. Like the Assembly as a whole, the committee and group meetings permit the examination of complex issues and facilitate the flow of information between the alumni and University officials. Committee work is divided into two main areas. Standing Committees deal with the on-going administrative needs of the AYA, while Club Committees give AYA delegates an opportunity at each Assembly to share ideas and then implement new initiatives at the local club and association level. Since all delegates are encouraged to be active members in their local Yale Club, the club committees serve as channels for communication between clubs and the University. |
