Yale Graduate School
The Yale Graduate School has a special relationship to Yale College based on the shared Faculty of Arts and Sciences, organized into departments relevant to both institutions. Yale’s graduate students also undertake significant teaching responsibilities in Yale College as part of their own preparation for teaching careers. In an effort to devote additional resources and attention to more than 20,000 Yale alumni who hold degrees from the Graduate School, the University asked in 1998 that the AYA assume management responsibility for the School’s alumni relations. In addition to departmental reunions and departmental communications, the AYA assists Jon Butler, Dean of the Graduate School, and alumni volunteers in expanding programs and engaging graduate school alumni more fully in the life of the University.
