Air travel
You may want to consider flying to Hartford (Bradley Airport)
or Providence (T. F. Green). U. S. Airways serves Tweed-New
Haven airport from Philadelphia. New York area options include
La Guardia, JFK and Newark airports.
Connecticut Limousine (www.ctlimo.com; 1-800-472-5466) ground
transportation serves Hartford, Newark, La Guardia and JFK
airports, but not Providence. Driving time from from Hartford
to New Haven is one hour; from Providence to New Haven is
approximately 2 hours; and from Newark to New Haven can be
from 2 to 3+ hours, depending on traffic. There is also an
Amtrak train connection between the Newark Airport and New
Haven.
Trains
Amtrak and Metro North both stop at the New Haven train
station.
Please write a paragraph about your current work, activities
and interests, whether in academics or another field. Personal
notes and reflections are most welcome. The Association of
Yale Alumni will produce a booklet to be mailed to all alumni
-- please send a note whether or not you plan to attend the
conference. The deadline for submissions is February 15.
Suggested length is <200 words. Click
here to submit your biographical notes.
The Department of Psychology is compiling short historical
recollections of life in the department to be posted on the
department website, and also to be printed as a booklet for
attendees of the conference. Your contribution to this collection
would be greatly appreciated. Please write a brief historical "snippet" about
your graduate education in psychology at Yale, perhaps sharing
an anecdote or lesson from your days in the department. The
resulting online document will be an invaluable resource
for current and future graduate students, as well as a shared
history for alumni. The deadline for submissions is March
1. Suggested length is <300 words. Click
here to submit your anecdotes.
If you have a book in print, please let us know right away.
The Yale Bookstore at 77 Broadway in New Haven will order
books for a display of work by Yale alumni and faculty in
Psychology. Books will be on exhibit and for sale for several
weeks, beginning April 5, 2006. Deadline is February 15. Click
here to submit your books.
