The Hay-Adams Author Series recreates a grand literary tradition that began in the late 1800s when the homes of John Hay and Henry Adams were the center of Washington’s intellectual and social gatherings. Today the tradition lives on with outstanding authors in a magnificent setting with fine food and drink and lively conversation. Come share the experience!

Co-hosted by Michael Beschloss, Join National Book Award winner Ron Chernow (Yale '70 with honors; and Cambridge) for a special three-course lunch and discussion of his landmark biography Washington: A Life, a richly nuanced portrait of the father of our country. A New York Times bestseller, the book was hailed by the Times as "deeply rewarding" and by The Washington Post as "a true achievement." The New York Review of Books called it "the best, most comprehensive, and most balanced single-volume biography of Washington ever written."

The first public event in the Top of the Hay will be co-hosted by renowned Presidential historian Michael Beschloss and Hay-Adams President Kay Enokido.
