Yale Blue Green (NYC): 100 Resilient Cities

Yale Blue Green (NYC): 100 Resilient Cities
Date:
Mon, 11/28/2016 - 6:30pm - 8:00pm

We're excited to invite you to join us for an alumni talk on Monday, November 28 at 6:30pm featuring María Ortiz '13 MEM, alumna of the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. María will speak about her work at 100 Resilient Cities where she is a Program Manager of City and Practice Management.

100 Resilient Cities (100RC) was pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation and is dedicated to helping cities around the world become more resilient to the physical, social, and economic challenges that are a growing part of the 21st century. 100RC supports the adoption and incorporation of a view of resilience that includes not just the shocks – such as earthquakes, floods, disease outbreaks, etc. – but also the stresses that weaken the fabric of a city on a day to day or cyclical basis. This talk will present the organization's work through the four core offerings, focusing on cities in Latin America.

Please register for the event.

And, as always, please reach out to us if you have event ideas or are interested in volunteering.  Email us at ybgnyc@gmail.com.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Monday, November 28!
