Sarah Smith Symposium, Niebuhr Lecture Hall on Sterling Divinity Quadrangle, 409 Prospect Street

Oliver Williams of the University of Notre Dame will speak at Yale Divinity School’s 2011-12 Sarah Smith Symposium, which will be held on Jan. 24, beginning at 4 pm, inNiebuhr Lecture Hall. Williams, an expert in business ethics, corporate governance and Catholic social teaching, will speak on the topic “Globalization and the Common Good: The Challenge and the Promise.” Respondents will include Miroslav Volf, director of the Yale Center for Faith and Culture; Senior Research Scholar Theodore Malloch, author of the book Spiritual Enterprise: Doing Virtuous Business; and Shyam Sunder, the James L. Frank Professor of Accounting, Economics, and Finance at the Yale School of Management. A reception will follow in the Sarah Smith Gallery.
