A "Burns Supper" at Yale: January 25, 2013!  

If everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, then it must follow that all are Scottish on Robbie Burn’s birthday, 25 January! Therefore:

The AYA and the Young Alumni Council of Connecticut cordially invite you a traditional “Robbie Burns Supper” to be celebrated on Friday, January 25th, 7 – 10 pm at Rose Alumni House, 232 York St., New Haven. 

Chef Marcel Anastasio has crafted a traditional Burns night menu complete with Scotch eggs, smoked salmon, cock-a-leekie soup, haggis, neeps and tatties, and tipsy laird trifle.  Wine, beer and liberal lashings of  “the creature” (AKA Scotch Whiskey) will be poured.

Special Note:  Dinner guests are most cordially invited to enter into the spirit of the evening by reading a poem by Burns, singing one of his songs, or presenting some other Scots-themed musical offering.  If you would like to participate in the program, be in touch with Johnson Flucker ’80 at johnson.flucker@yale.edu.

Registration is $50 and is limited to 40.
