Dr. Thomas Lynch, director of the Yale Cancer Center, will be speaking to the Yale Club of the Treasure Coast at a luncheon in Vero Beach, Florida, on February 13th. His topic will be “What It Will Take to Cure Cancer in Our Lifetime: The Yale Vision.” After his talk he will be delighted to take questions from the audience.
Dr. Lynch also serves as Physician-in-Chief at the magnificent new Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale, a $550-million state-of-the-art facility — one of the most advanced cancer treatment centers in the United States — which opened on the Yale-New Haven Hospital campus in 2009. As the Sackler Professor of Medical Oncology on the Yale Medical School faculty, Dr. Lynch is a nationally recognized expert in the treatment of lung cancer, with a special interest in personalized medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale College in 1982 and his MD degree from the Yale School of Medicine in 1986.
