Presented by Frauke V. Josenhans, the Horace W. Triggered by a reflection on how war, genocide, and terrorism still today cause waves of refugees and exiles, the exhibition aims to expand the traditional narrative of exile in the visual arts by juxtaposing artists from different time periods and different continents, with a special focus on female, African American, East Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern artists.
