Join AAAYA (Chicago) for King of the Yees Play at the Goodman Theatre

Join AAAYA Chicago on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2pm and support playwright Lauren Yee's (YC '07) comedy about a Chinese American's exploration of identity and heritage. Josh Brody (YC '07) is the director and Francis Jue (another Yale alum) plays the character Larry. If you thought the workshop of the play (performed in late 2015) was funny and enjoyed it, come and see the world premier of the full production.

Also, there will be an Artist Encounter at 5pm discussing the process of creating the play with Linda Yu (ABC - 7 news anchor) hosting it. Admission to the Artist Encounter will be complimentary for our group.

But when her father disappears, she must embrace her heritage for the first time in order to find him. Explore America’s largest Chinatown through the eyes of a new generation in this hilarious and heartfelt comedy. More information about the play can be found here; King of the Yees | Goodman Theatre
