FAQ: Which Yale Clubs have buildings?
Only the Yale Club of New York City, but that’s a privately owned paid-membership club not under the auspices of Yale or the AYA. The regional alumni associations that the AYA supports — referred to informally as Yale Clubs, whether they have Yale Club in their names or not — are volunteer-led nonprofits. In New York City, for example, the Yale Alumni Association of New York is the “Yale Club” for the 15,000+ Yale alumni in the metropolitan area.
Yale Club Recognition Awards
The Yale Club Recognition Award provides an opportunity for Clubs to publicly honor members for their dedication to Yale through local volunteer activity. It is given by the Yale Club (not directly by the AYA) for “outstanding leadership and service” at the Club level.
