Dear Classmates & Friends,

Our 65th Reunion remembers who we were, are and will yet be.

Please make your plans to join us in New Haven May 24-27, 2018!  We will have a record-setting turnout for a 65th reunion if you arise to the occasion. The reunion schedule will offer an array of appealing Class of 1953 events as well as Yale reunion events. We promise you good meals, great collegiality and a most festive atmosphere at our reunion headquarters in beautiful Jonathan Edwards College.
The complete reunion schedule is posted on this website; click on the link at left. Two important points at the outset: the reunion registration fee is $300 per classmates and guests. Also, in order to preserve and promote time for conversation with friends, there will be no loud music or after-dinner speakers on either night.
The Class of 1953 will have many of its own special and unique events. If you would like to attend a Mory’s Lunch on Thursday, contact Mory’s directly at (203) 562-3175 for reservations. This tab is on your account or credit card.
There will be presentations on Friday afternoon before we join together at St. Thomas More Chapel for the class memorial service to remember those classmates no longer with us. Please also be sure to plan to attend some of the wonderful lectures and tours presented by Yale on both Friday and Saturday mornings.
We especially want to welcome the widows of our classmates, joining us as complimentary guests of the Class of 1953. Our goal is to make this a great experience for all!
In an effort to make our 65th Reunion available to all classmates, financial assistance will be available. Please contact Jennifer Julier at the AYA, at (203) 436-8014 or via email at jennifer.julier@yale.edu for a private discussion.
Just a note that we will share our reunion headquarters with some members of Yale’s most senior classes (1952 and older) who will be joining us for some meals. I hope you will welcome these fellow Elis, who are invited back to reunions every year, as we will be starting in 2019.
While the downtown reunion hotel blocks are already full, there are a number of hotels outside of downtown New Haven which can accommodate you. There are also rooms available at the La Quinta Inn and Suites (203) 562-1111, located on Long Wharf, which will be serviced by the reunion shuttles. Additionally, downtown hotel rooms do become available later in the late spring.
Our reunion headquarters will be in centrally located Jonathan Edwards College and there will be campus housing available there. If interested you can sign up as part of the registration process.
Visit this reunion website to see the number that have already indicated they plan to attend. If your friends’ names do not appear, call them!
Last fall many of you pre-registered for the reunion, letting us know whether you would be able to come or not. Now we are asking you to register, choose which meals you will be having with us. The AYA must know that you are coming in order to have counts for meals and other activities.
Remember we are all here to assist you regardless of any problem that stands in the way of your attendance.  If you have any special needs let us know. Your commitment to this reunion is our first and foremost obligation.
Under separate cover you will receive our 65th reunion directory sometime in April.
