AYA - Club Officer Toolbox

Greetings from New Haven, where the rain has finally stopped, and fall is well underway.

I hope to see many of you at the AYA Assembly on November 17-19th and wanted to remind those of you who are planning on attending to register.

If you are planning on attending, the immediate action item (today) is to reserve your hotel room. The deadline for making reservations through our hotel blocks was yesterday, but the deadline has been extended to the end of this week (Friday, October 21st), so there is still time. Please remember
that Assembly Weekend is also the Yale-Harvard Game. Hotel rooms are at a
premium, and once our block is released, it will be very difficult to obtain a room.

Assembly LXV: In After Years will examine the opportunities, choices, and challenges faced by students immediately following their graduation from the College, the Graduate School, and the professional schools. The program will also focus on the ways those post-Yale opportunities, choices, and challenges influence decisions that students make while on campus. In addition to many interesting Assembly program sessions, the weekend will also feature the Yale Medal dinner, the ever-popular indoor tailgate, and the fun and tradition that is The Game. There will also be some special leadership training sessions on Friday afternoon that will be of benefit to all Club volunteers.

While I'd like to encourage as many of you as possible to attend, I also know that many Yale Clubs have very special Yale-Harvard Game traditions, and will need to be in their hometowns to host Club activities. We're sorry that many of you have to make the choice, but where ever you are that weekend, we know you will be in service to Yale!
