Invitations by Email back to Communications

Email invitations can be as varied as paper invitations. However, they are much less expensive to produce and distribute. An email can state nothing but the simplest details of an event or it can include pictures. Of course, if you have a website, providing a link to your website in the email is always a good idea.

Thanks to all of you who attended the trivia event in February. In April, join alumni from 18 college alumni clubs for…the Greatest Sport in the World…Fun for All Ages…Bowling! Hang out with old friends, meet new people, show off your bowling skills, and help fight hunger in the Seattle area too (by bringing 2 or more cans of food for Northwest Harvest).

Event Details: Intercollegiate Alumni Bowling Day / Food Drive

Date: Saturday, April 26, 2003

Time: 3:00 p.m. (until approx. 6:00 p.m.)

Location: Imperial Lanes, 2101 22nd Ave South (cross street is Hill), 206-325-2525. South of I-90. Drive south on Rainier Ave S until you see Burger King and 7-Eleven on the right, then turn right on Hill Street. The bowling alley parking lot is one block ahead on the right.

Food and Drink: No-host drinks and food (pizza, burgers, sandwiches) available. Separate bar/lounge area as well.

Price: $5.25 per person for 3 games and bowling shoes. (You can pay at the door.) And please bring 2 cans of food for donation to people in need in Washington State (e.g. cans of fruit, vegetables, tuna; see website below.) This effort is in conjunction with the 19th annual Neighbors For Northwest Harvest food drive. If you would like to make a monetary donation instead, you can bring cash or a check made out to “Northwest Harvest.”

Event:Yale Women’s Golf Team competing in Hawaii

The Yale Women’s Golf Team, Ivy League Champions in 1997,1998,2000 & 2002, will be competing in Honolulu next week! If you would like to cheer on the team, either in person or in the newspapers, here is the information.

What: Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii and featuring 14 NCAA Division I teams, the #1 ranked Division II team and a team representing Japan.

Where: Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, Kaneohe Marine Base (the Yale Club is unsure how you get on base)

When: Tuesday, March 18-Wednesday, March 19, 2003 beginning at 7:30am each day. They are playing 36 holes on Tuesday and 18 holes on Wednesday
