Assembly LVII
: The Performing Arts at Yale
Executive Summary Saturday Morning
Graduate and Professional
School Meeting
Susan Addiss moderated a panel
that consisted of Kathleen Schomaker ’98 MES, Assistant Director
of Development and Alumni Affairs, School of Forestry and Environmental
Studies, Jane Reynolds, Associate Dean of the Medical School for Development,
Alumni Affairs and Publications and Judith M. Cole ’84 MPPM,
Director of Education and AYA Services whose job includes responsibility
for Graduate School Alumni Relations.
Discussion centered
around two main areas:
The international character
of the G& P alumni. The Internet is seen as the best method
to reach out to the international alumni. There needs to be
better network development with the G&P administration in
order to bring speakers and other contacts to the international
clubs.
Communication/Coordination.
Improved communication between the University and AYA with the
G&P alumni, and better cross-communication between G&P
organizations is needed. G&P alumni should be allowed to
attend programs being developed for Yale College reunion activities,
particularly as many alumni are affiliated with more than one
school and/or Yale College.
