About AYA Assemblies

The Association of Yale Alumni’s Assemblies lie at the heart of its mission to develop alumni leaders, to communicate with alumni about critical aspects of the University and to provide alumni with a way to voice their views to Yale’s administration and faculty.

Each fall, over 300 alumni delegates are invited to New Haven to represent their constituencies: Yale Clubs and Associations, Yale College Classes and Yale's Graduate & Professional Schools. Each annual Assembly has a central focus, a theme reflecting a current topic of interest and concern to alumni and the rest of the university community.

Assemblies offer delegates the opportunity to:

  • - Inquire and learn about issues facing the University through panels and discussions
  • - Attend sessions for clubs, classes, and graduate and professional schools that present new ideas to incorporate into their constituency's programs
  • - Re-discover the excellence of the Yale faculty through educational programming
  • - Meet with other club, class and graduate and professional school leaders
  • - Meet with students, faculty, other alumni and University administrators in informal settings
  • - Discover a new facet of Yale as a living, evolving institution.
