Assembly LXVIII - From Print to Pixel: Carrying Forward the Legacy of Publishing at Yale

In conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the Yale University Press, this Assembly will pay tribute to the history of publishing at Yale while also examining the ways in which the digital world is changing the way we gather, develop, and disseminate knowledge. How do these changes influence the life of the university? How does the infrastructure of knowledge and the infrastructure supporting teaching and learning at universities today impact the way we generate and disseminate information? How does the digital delivery of information affect universities in areas such as libraries, information policy and publishing? How will we at Yale identify and respond to the challenges and opportunities to shape future directions? Join us at the Assembly this fall as we address these and other important questions about the future of Yale and all universities in the expanding digital age.
